Intro
I offer Counselling and Life Coaching to help you achieve deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions, your relationships and life circumstances. My practice is built on the understanding that we are all fundamentally relationship-seeking beings who need connection throughout our lives. I believe that healing happens through what I call "meaningful presence" - being genuinely alongside you with focused attention and care, creating a secure foundation from which you can explore your inner world. I recognise that you are more than just your thoughts. My approach considers your mind, emotions, body, and deeper sense of self, helping you bring these different parts of yourself into harmony when they feel divided or in conflict. Often, the difficulties we face today have roots in our past experiences and relationships. I help you explore how earlier experiences might be affecting your current relationships and life patterns, always with gentleness and at your own pace. I believe you have an innate capacity for growth and healing. Rather than seeing problems as flaws, I view defensive patterns as responses that once protected you but may no longer serve you well. Together, we can develop greater awareness of these patterns and find more flexible ways of responding. I provide unconditional acceptance and a non-judgemental environment where you can express yourself authentically without fear of criticism. I listen carefully not just to your words but to the feelings and meanings beneath them. I'll reflect back what I hear to ensure you feel truly understood. I bring my authentic self to our work together, creating a real relationship built on trust and transparency. I allow the healing process to unfold naturally from our relationship rather than imposing a rigid structure. I pay attention to "the music behind the words" - the deeper meanings and feelings you're expressing. I draw on my ability to use metaphor and imagery when helpful, and I stay aware of my own responses during our sessions to better understand what you might be experiencing. I also have training in mindfulness and body-awareness techniques, which I may suggest when appropriate and safe for your particular needs.
